I solved my 4K split problem on a 4K TV and a 1080p receiver
I have two 4K sources and a 4K TV but my A/V receiver only supports 1080p. I needed a way to send 4K video from a source to my 4K TV and also send the signal to my receiver so it can decode LPCM multi-channel audio. It took some experimentation with the little EDID switches on this splitter and some email exchanges with the provider, but it's working great for me now. It was a lot cheaper than buying a new receiver. In case anyone is wondering, all four switches in the ON position are what I need to get it working.
