I used this because I thought I was going to 'fix' the pins on my backpack. To be fair, I use this backpack a lot and carry it with me. I figured the mechanism on these needle backs would be strong enough to hold my needles in my backpack. Well I lost 1 limited edition pin which I was very sorry for - I ended up replacing that particular pin so do what you will. I just noticed, that the other pin in my pack had a lot of play; it spun around. I check the inside of my backpack and indeed the rear "latch" pin has come loose. The screw was still on the back of the pen and screwed all the way in. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong other than using my backpack too much? I'm a little disappointed in the effectiveness of the product. I will be keeping a close eye on the rest of my pins and suggest you do the same if you decide to purchase these. *ALSO: Be very careful when tightening the screw with the allen wrench - the pin MAY deform and break due to screw tension.
