They get the job done for a good price

I've bought several of these for various photography projects. They do exactly what they were designed to do at a reasonable price. It seems ridiculous the price other companies charge for a large white umbrella. So when I ordered them my only concern was the build quality as I'm pretty rough on my gear. They are well done. The shaft is quite thick. I couldn't bend them with reasonable force, but I didn't want to push too hard either. I couldn't measure the wall thickness of the shaft as it has a nice metal end cap. The fabric is ok. I only lose about 1/3 stop shooting through them with flashes of white light. The ribs seem to be on par with any other umbrella (of any kind) I've ever used. They end up in a nice white plastic case. Umbrellas come with a fairly thick clear plastic case that keeps them clean and white. Even if I break one, I can buy five or six replacements for $10 each and not spend as much money as some other companies charge. Wave to get it far enough to get even coverage. When I do this I get a nice soft light effect. I was worried they would be too heavy if hanging far from my torches, but they are light enough that I didn't have to balance them. I was also concerned that the stock would buckle under its own weight and only hold the last three or four inches. Also, I was a bit concerned that the stem size would be wrong for my flashes, but they fit very well, meaning they are the standard size for most flashes. But no worry. So far everything is holding up well. I have only one wish that would make me happier. The folded length from tip to bottom of shaft is 29 inches. I can't fit them into my lighting box. I really want them to be folded in half and lengthened to a shorter length. However I think there is a price to pay money for this convenience. Overall I think they are worth the price and I know I will buy them again. Because sooner or later I will break them. :)
