The bike lock itself looks reasonable. It seems that thieves are considering other bikes with different locking mechanisms. It has a sliding panel that locks the keyhole. This plate can sometimes get stuck when inserting the key and I wondered if I really had the key oriented correctly and needed visual confirmation that I had inserted the key correctly. This is a problem when I attach your bike to a pole and the keyhole is facing down, as groping for the hole doesn't always work. The lock comes with a pair of Velcro straps that attach the lock holder to the bike frame. The plastic loop at the end of the strap that it loops past and wraps around itself to attach to the frame with Velcro broke off the first time I took it out of the box and tried to attach it to the bike. I ended up having to use a piece of wire and thread it through the band as a spare loop. I'm not sure if the other strap will break as the bike goes over bumps and cracks.
