Judging from the pictures I expected the yarn to be in large skeins. My women's slippers, size 7, lie next to a ball of yarn for reference. Also, the colors didn't match. I have 2 most colors but 4 some and 1 some.

It really is MINI Akeem is made of yarn. If you need tiny bits for small projects, go for it. I was expecting twice the size of the Akim and am very disappointed that I wasted so much money on such a small lot. I will not order anymore. Be sure to check out the photo I posted with the ruler so you know exactly how SMALL AND TINY they are.

Great Candy Set. My only complaint is that the colors are not marked. It seems to be a more versatile set. I bought another series from another company and the colors of the skeins are identical (and not marked either). I plan to use mine to make tiny baby hats to donate to hospitals for families whose babies are born too young to survive so it's perfect for what I need it for. Our friends had their first baby and I wanted to make these cute Steelers style booties for their little one. However, I really didn't want to pay a ton for big skeins of each color and leave most of the yarn hanging in boxes for years. This mini pack of skeins was just what I needed! Bought this set with some gift projects but wanted to test the yarn with a small project for myself first. . I was looking through e-books and settled on an owl. The instructions were well written but more importantly the yarn was soft and comfortable to use and the colors were beautiful.
