USB 2.0 poor transfer speed only

Liked: packaging, size, lanyard Disliked: poor transfer speed, about 25% of expected speed. I wanted to use 5 of these for audiobooks on CD, transfer mpg3 files to a flash drive and then play audiobooks on a DVD player for several hours. The transmission speed is too slow for my nervous system. Copying 3 audio DVDs to a flash drive would take 2 hours. Computer: Lenovo x220 laptop running Linux Mate Ubuntu. The copy was a Samsung SSD ==&gt; flash drive. Floppy disks are excellent archives for 3-5 years. Yes, the transfer is slow, but this is not a problem for archives. Most likely useless as operating system installation disks.
