Review on Alpine SPR 10TW 1 Inch Component Tweeters by Scott Tompkins

These tweeters sound very good, very bright highs and vocals come out of them. I used my existing MB Quart crossover to hook it up. I never liked my mb quarto tweeters from my PVM216 setup. It helped that I moved the tweeters up from their factory location to the feet. I put them in the door handle. The reason being it was almost at ear level and if I ever want to go back to stock I can replace the door handles for $20 versus the $400 in the door panels. To install the tweeters, I bought a 2" hole saw and used my vernier calipers to measure the cup diameter of the tweeter mount as 1.96". Installation was near perfect using a 2 inch hole saw. The tweeters could be firmly inserted into the hole without using double-sided tape. Below is a link to a video showing me cutting out the hole for them along with some photos. .]
