Does a good job. The instructions are a bit vague. Read carefully. To charge, please make sure the device is on when you connect the USB cable, otherwise it will light up but not charge. The files ended up in the RECORD folder, but in my case I just created a NEW folder (named MP3). Then I simply dragged each of the approximately 38 wav files by hand and placed them in a new folder. Everything fits and plays great. The files remain on the PC and in the dictation machine itself. It doesn't say so in the instructions, but it works. You can now send these WAV files via email etc. or share them with others. The sound quality is good both through the PC and through the plug-in speaker in the headphone jack.
