Mild, lathers well, helps a little. Highly recommended. I bought it for a week long festival in the country. We needed a biodegradable, unscented soap that could be used for almost everything from washing dishes to washing ourselves. It did a great job without drying out our skin. If I were using it as a daily shampoo I would probably add some citrus for shine, but other than that it's great. Left my skin and hair clean and soft without leaving any residue. I forgot to bring dishwashing gloves, which are essential when using regular dish soap, but I found this soap doesn't dry my hands as much as most dish soaps. Good to know! I'm allergic to bee and wasp stings, so my husband recommended avoiding flavored foods to avoid attracting bees. With the exception of one brown wasp that generally flew around the campsite, I did not see a single bee or wasp near our RV. As other reviewers have pointed out, this is a very runny liquid, but there is still a long way to go.
