I was looking for a new test kit to replace the one I had lost after about 10 years. I needed a device that I could use as a speakerphone, as well as some new bells and whistles that wouldn't allow me to disconnect someone from the network if I accidentally tripped over a data line. I found and bought this top device. It came in perfect order, everything in the kit was fine. Got straight to work and enjoyed learning what it can do.1. The caller ID on the test dial is awesome, not required but awesome.2. The backlit dial and back screen already reduce stress in dark phone rooms etc. e.3. The speakerphone hasn't been used yet, but I tested it and it worked fine.4. You've ever wondered what the voltages are on the line you're working with, but no more. This feature has already saved me hours of troubleshooting and scratching my head. Data Saver saved me troubleshooting time. Due to data blocking I have found circuits that contained data that shouldn't have been, I never would have known it before. 6. Redial is easy to use and I use it all the time.7. The way the monitor works is that when the line is busy you hear people talking before you pick up the phone, when there are no people it's silent and you don't even hear the dial tone until you hear the pick up the handset. That's really an advantage and unfortunately I've experienced a fall on concrete before and I'm happy to say it's not even a brand and is still ticking.8. Last I ordered cable with RJ11 and use it all the time to check plugs and phone numbers. The bottom line is great and Fluke (Harris Dracon) has always made great products and this one is no different. Buy with confidence and buy the best tool you can afford and you will have it for a lifetime.
