The heatshrink comes with a thick wall, shrink it 1/3 and it becomes thicker than a Mcdonald's beef patty!Jokes aside, very thick wall once shrunk, adhesive seems similar to hot glue, the tube holds its shape very well. I have used it on several phone cables including two frayed ones, which I can confirm still work after more than a month of daily abuse. The section where heatshrink is on is very solid and does not bend.
