The pads are made of very thin plastic and fit well so be careful when putting them on the clippers. I thought I would break 1 inch. I had to force it to turn on and then it clicked. When using the guard on my clippers I found that part of the guard comb kept moving instead of staying in place on the actual clipper blade. I had to reattach them which made my cut uneven. Luckily I found my old guard that originally came with my clippers when I bought them.
