First of all, a true ceramic coating is silicon dioxide suspended in a solvent. When applying, wait about 20-30 seconds or 1 minute maximum for the coating to "flash” as the solvents begin to evaporate, you polish the surface leaving only SiO2 on the paint surface. THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT FLASH AT ALL! I applied a small amount, maybe a 6" x 6" patch to test the flash time and after 30 minutes (yes, 30 minutes!) it looked the same. Didn't pill, didn't get sticky, just rubbed off like oil and left a slick, oil-like feel on the surface. I have no idea what all the 5 star ratings are for this item! This product is basically the equivalent of a ceramic spray coating and I swear they suspended it in peppermint oil to make it smell like something like solvent. As far as I know it's just peppermint oil as it never dries out on its own. Apply it, buff it, and know it's basically the same as waxing your car. Don't waste time preparing the paint, tone or polish just to apply this stuff which I think might take a couple of weeks if that's the case. I figured I could save a few bucks by choosing an unfamiliar brand, but obviously not. I'm going back and buying a more famous product.
