So first the advantages: It is very easy to assemble and disassemble. It is very portable and takes up little space. folded so you can easily throw the back of the car. The zippered top makes it easy to get your dog in when he's squirming hard. We have used it in our RV and in the guest room with our 3.5 month old puppy who we couldn't trust to walk and it worked great. Not that perfect, although not entirely disqualifying. We tried outside next to our van to keep our dog off the state park leash and it really didn't work. A relatively small dog can knock it over by lifting its paws to the side, which of course happens when your dog really wants to get out. You want your dog to make getting in and out easier. Overall for us this was a good buy for the price despite a few flaws.
