I bought this mold to use as a cheese mold. It was the only square shape I could find. The lid is very tight and even scratched the non-stick coating the first time I took it off. But luckily I'll arrange it and use the tee for cheese, not bread, so I don't care. It is a very strong and heavy metal. I can't bake to save my life, I think it probably handles heat well. There is a pressure hole at the bottom of the pot. I put it in the top rack of the dishwasher and it's ok. If I didn't have problems with my hands I would hand wash it. I couldn't find any washing instructions but there were some symbols on them but mine were frayed and illegible so maybe someone can read them to see if there is any washing instructions at all.
