Review on ☕ Coffee Cup Warmer: Keep Your Brew Warm with Auto Shut Off Feature by Richard Mangum

My coffee comes out of the Bonavita carafe at 160º. I heated a flat-bottomed earthenware mug by pouring 350F (160C) water into it and letting it sit on the heater set at 350F (158C) for 20 minutes to ensure the mug was warm. I then poured hot water and 160º coffee into the cup until the cup was less than half full (to give the heater a sporty kick) and then set it on the heater to the 158º setting. Within 5 minutes the temperature of the coffee dropped as if it wasn't on the heater at all and continued to drop until it sat at 130º for a few minutes. As soon as I took a sip and put the cup back on the heater it dropped to 116º and never went back up. I have another cup warmer that heats to 140º and in the same cup my coffee gets heated to around 135º. I was hoping to improve this with this new heater as it claims to heat up to 158º but no luck. Either this is a faulty device or this company is not telling the truth about its capabilities. I hesitate to exchange it for a new one for fear that it will be the same. If the company replies that I must have a faulty unit and I get another one that works properly I will change my review and until then my best advice is to skip this product if you want your coffee hotter than was 116º. FYI: If you're looking for one that works: I just got an all black glass lid cup warmer for $28.99 from KKSEVENS and it does what it says on the tin, keeps my coffee at 160º all day. Finally.
