Let me start by saying that this valve does indeed provide a basic required function which is fuel shut off. However, like all other reviews, you will see interruptions when trying to install it. This is due to the different depth of the standard flange compared to this fake. Very close but still different enough to cut off the top edge of the flange that secures the mounting nut when tightened to the bottom of the generator tank. To correct MacGyver: Well, there is still the flange on the shut-off valve. it only lacks the fastening nut and the edge of the flange, and it is a non-pressurized line (see outlet held by a wire hose clamp). I went to my local auto parts store and bought a 6" 1/2" fuel line and some hose clamps. I attached this to the bottom flange of the fuel tank and then to the top of the gain check valve. Total cost $6 and a replacement and it took about 10 minutes.
