Let's take a closer look at what I consider to be the best all-round headphones in the V-MODA stable. I'm particularly excited about the first headphone launch, as Roland has a large stake in V-MODA. Introducing the V-MODA Crossfade 2 Wireless. For me, the Crossfade 2 Wireless product name is key to this new offering from V-MODA. They're called Crossfade 2 Wireless, not Crossfade Wireless 2. In my opinion, the company was trying to make great wired headphones with Bluetooth, not the other way around. In my opinion, this is one of the first wireless Bluetooth headphones that sounds almost exactly the same in both wired and wireless modes, and it does a great job for a Bluetooth headphone. The exoskeleton body is a common tariff in V-MODA. On the inside, they offer cable storage, and the headphones fold up into a small space to fit perfectly in your pocket. One thing I found nice about this case is that there are vents that allow air into the case to dry sweat, which is especially handy for DJs and workout enthusiasts. The case also has a carabiner clip, another nice touch. The style has not changed significantly from some of the previous V-MODA styles and is very distinctly V-MODA. All the usual customizations are also available on the V-MODA website, including the 3D printed shields. I would like to add that owning the color rose gold didn't appeal to me at first. As soon as I saw them my mind changed as they were what I would call a deep copper color. i really like it They also have an old CliqFold hinge to create a small storage space. The processing of the headphones and cables is very good and solid and, as usual, the V-MODA is built like a tank. They are a bit heavy (309g) and also a bit heavy on the head. The kit includes a micro VAMP that works when the headphones are in wireless mode. I'm sure the ads are a little weighty. Let me just say that these are very comfortable headphones, weight aside. The fit of the headband has improved thanks to five years of comfort research, and the ear cushions are exceptionally comfortable. I easily put them on for an hour morning walk and never feel the need to adjust them. These are not ANC headphones. Aside from the isolation found in headphones, they don't have active noise cancellation to create an artificial buffer. Noise isolation comes from more than adequate isolation and solid bass when listening to music. This might be a nice addition for some, but if active noise-cancellation isn't done right, it can alter the audio signature of the headphones. The positive thing is that nothing stands in the way of the impressive sound signature. This is certified high-resolution audio (wired mode), but we're seeing this designation more and more often. They say you can expect more than 14 hours of battery life. I don't watch it for that long, but I use max volume and use my phone or source to control the listening volume. I also play a lot of FLAC files when using my Opus #2. When using V-MODA REMIX, it is fully compatible with the VAMP internal amplifier in REMIX. I would like to point out the buttons on the headphones that increase volume, decrease volume, and the multifunction button for pausing, answering calls, etc. I prefer real buttons over the touch controls on the headphones because I found the touch controls be somewhat inconsistent. However, I'm not a huge fan of the feel or placement of these buttons. I find them a bit difficult to press and determine which button you're pressing when blindly groping over your earcup. With a long Bluetooth listening time, I can certainly get used to the function. In terms of Bluetooth functionality, these pair easily with everything I've tried pairing them with. Bluetooth works phenomenally and I found I could drive 30 feet. as advertised without drops. In fact, I don't remember any dropouts or audio cut-outs when using it wirelessly. I've found that when making calls using Bluetooth along with the built-in mic, people say they're loud. Traffic or wind will cause inconvenience to the other party. However, with the cable provided, they are suitable for calls. All in all, the first thing you listen to is the CF2W (CF2W for short because I'm bloody tired of writing it), it's warm and also has a bass slope that's very reminiscent of their house sound. Over time, you'll begin to understand the nuances between these and other V-MODA offerings. They have V-MODA's signature house bass, and that's okay because the more you listen, the more you realize that there are also enhanced highs and mids that are clearly visible. As previously mentioned, the M-100's bass is so powerful and overwhelming that it seeps into the lower mids and then beyond. I'm not being too critical, just saying that the M-100 is good for listening to music for pleasure or as a DJ, but not the best option for detailed, critical listening. CF2W is V-MODA's most balanced offering. The bass is shaped differently than other models, delivering bass detail and solid warmth without impeding other frequencies. I often use them outdoors and the bass perfectly masks outside noise. The CF2W's mids are a bit more forward than previous V-MODA models, and the highs are always present. The highs are never harsh or harsh and have great tone and quality. Combine high frequencies with more forward high-mids for an overall sense of balance and detail. Given that there is little difference in length between wired and wireless connections, you can cut the cable without sacrificing sound quality. Not only do I want to compare them to previous V-MODAs, but overall they are pleasant to listen to and better than many other offerings in the same price range. In conclusion, I was pleasantly surprised by the CF2W. I've been a true wireless friend since the release, recall, and re-release of the Sennheiser Momentum 2. I never wanted to get serious about wireless communications. I will say that the CF2W changed that and now I have a new daily wireless listening experience.
