Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Convenient Desk Clamp Power Strip with USB Ports & Desk Mount Charging Station, 3 Outlets, 6FT Cable - 125V 12A 1500W by Kyle Gresham

Great way to add outlets within reach.

I was looking for something to add to my desk to charge my various electronic devices. It was old to bend under the table. I already have a cell phone charger, but my laptop requires a traditional plug and the family has several different tablets and another laptop. I also charge Eneloop batteries and desktop flashlight batteries, so I needed more than just a USB hub. After researching various options, from installing an extension cord on a desk to one of those retractable outlets, I decided to give it a try. It also gives me the option to move it around if I rearrange things later, and it looks better than the standard extension cord I have on my desk. I bought a configuration with three outlets and two USBs. Setup was easy. Choose a spot on the edge of the table and tighten the mounting bracket until it stops. There are rubber pads on both ends for better grip. Once I tightened it, it went nowhere. I was concerned that plugging in grounded plugs might cause the strip to buckle or bend and eventually shift, but that's not the case. It holds up even after numerous "gags" and doesn't bend at all. The cable from the bar to the wall seems stiff and long enough for my needs. Overall, the workmanship makes a solid impression. Thick plastic and metal mounting screw. I'm sure it will hold up for years of use. USB ports charge devices at "normal" rate, they get the full 2A when plugged in. Ordinary sockets are similar to normal sockets. great solution for adding outlets within reach. I could see this being used on tables or maybe at the end of a table on some sofas or even for a workbench (unless you need a 15 amp load as I believe it's only rated for 13). Solid construction and performance, and the price was right. I have no problem recommending this. I bought this product with my own money and receive NO compensation for this review.
