Patches won't work without glue, solid wrench is too thin

The multi-tool has a solid feel and lots of useful individual tools. It's probably worth what you pay for it, but there are caveats to be aware of. The included patches advertised as "no glue required" cannot be glued to the tubes I purchased the patch kit for. . I tried both sides of two patches. Nothing sticks if you pull the patches off the foil on one side and the very stubborn plastic on the other. If there is a catch, there should be instructions (there aren't any). It's possible the description is misleading and they really need glue, the seller just wants to let you know it's not included. I gave up and used what was on hand (superglue) to seal the pipe (which may not work). You can train before you leave home by relying on these patches. I think a solid wrench is too flimsy to be useful. I tried using a solid wrench to loosen the rear wheel nuts which were installed by Trek or the local bike shop about 2-3 years ago when we bought the bike. The wrench only damaged my bike's lug nuts, leaving small nicks before slipping off. I had to use a real adjustable wrench to loosen the nuts. So again, before you rely on this tool to "save" you on your bike ride, experiment to see if it can actually remove a nut. I'm not sure I recommend loosening your bike's lug nuts first. I think you're better off getting another wrench that actually loosens the bike's lug nuts. If you think about it, you should practice with this tool a bit before relying on it for any functions. It's cute and neat, but it's limited.
