Reliable mouse, but the price bites. (UPDATED)

This mouse is awesome. The light weight, good size for all grip styles, great battery life, mouse feet are higher quality than stock feet, and they have a nice charging dock if you buy a kit. It's very accurate and the switches are softer and I'm a Model O. The only downside here is the hefty $167 after tax I paid for it. For that price I could probably buy a 3 Model O with a matte finish, or maybe a new pair of headphones. I think what Razer needs to do is look at the other side of the market, gamers on a budget. Glorious' new Model D is far from competitive, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone came out with a cheaper, lighter wireless mouse to compete with this one any time soon. UPDATE: (previous rating was 4 stars a week later). So I made a comment above in my review about the switches not being as clicky as on my Model O. I recently returned to my Model O for a week after making the Viper Wireless my primary, and yes . I'm going back to my Model O. I just don't like the softness of the switches on this mouse. Not only that, the Razer Synapse program has been crashing my computer lately and causing all my stuff to behave strangely. As soon as I close Synapse the problems go away. I know I can uninstall it and still use my mouse, but what's the point of removing software to get your $2,000 computer working again? Yes No. It's gotten decent mileage for this mouse, but the switches, software, and price just don't make it worth it. However, I am glad that Razer has released a better wireless mouse than the rest. This raises the bar quite a bit for other companies and soon someone else will come out with a better mouse and HOPE at a better price that's friendly to everyone. 2 stars.
