Review on πŸ”† Finish Max in 1 Powerball Dishwasher Detergent: 82-count Dishwashing Tablets - Superior Cleaning for Sparkling Results by Rebecca Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great, has been used for a while, canister opens/closes more easily

I have been using Finish tablets for a long time and have always been pleased with the convenience and cleaning power. At one point I thought they were Consumer Reports' top pick, and I've never looked back. Personally, I didn't care if I had to unpack them before their packaging re-dissolved. But now you just let the shell dissolve. Just make sure your hands aren't wet, just washing-up liquid underneath :) . The wrapper, whether it disintegrates or not, helps prevent the Powerball (actually a disk) from getting lost in your pocket or if it erupts. My dishes are always clean. Every once in a while I get something hard (like oatmeal) or something on a serving spoon that sometimes needs a bit of brushing. always waste time zipping up again. I prefer the canister version with the easy open and close lid (picture for comparison). But the trick is you can buy one of these and reuse it. To be honest I just threw this bag in the canister I had before. However, if the place you are storing it is very humid and wet, a zippered bag is best. But if you have that much moisture under the sink, you may have another problem :). But I have to admit that I have a water softener that can help with that and is a big variable for people. Most of these cleaners know that people have hard water and usually include something to compensate. But if the case is really bad, I think Finish offers another supplement to help. But mine is removed by the built in water softener (Kinetico). I also use a large 'dishwasher cleaner' every once in a while to keep it clean.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
