This was my first electrical project. The first set I ordered didn't sit snugly against the wall and the tabs preventing it from falling off the wall broke immediately. So I ordered this kit that was. better. Looks better but the instructions are terrible. I'm sure more experienced folks had no problem, but I've included some photos and tips for folks like me. With some advice I was finally able to install it myself and it looks very good. Tips: The wires are a little bare, but it would be nice to strip them a bit more. The template is a bit big, so it's better if you trim it down. Go ahead and break off one of the protrusions on the socket to let the wires through - otherwise it's impossible. From the side where you will wrap the wires around the screws, once everything is secured, wrapping the tape all the way around will help. The notes on that page (but not on the box) will tell you which is grounded, hot, etc. After all, you'll still be connecting wires, so if you're in the same bolt group as an existing outlet, there's not much point in buying this kit, lol. Oh, and there weren't any wire nuts in the box so I had to buy them from Lowe. One star deducted for that.
