Review on ☕ Glass Handle Series Chemex Pour-Over Glass Coffeemaker - 10-Cup - Exclusive Packaging by Philip Russell

Expensive but elegant.

Okay, Chemex Pot Reviews are pretty extensive, so I'll just put my two cents in your internal buying dialogue. I bought my Chemex about three weeks ago. and used it twice a day on average. I have a 10 cup model with a molded handle. The carafe says it holds about 50 ounces. This bothered me as I sometimes brew 64 ounce coffee for my wife and I using 16 ounce mugs. However, I found the Chemex to be large enough to hold 64 ounces despite filling the pot well past the intended fill line. The coffee still brewed very well and tasted normal after brewing a "full" kettle. The handle on the kettle is very comfortable (no pun intended). Whether rinsing a pot or pouring coffee, the handle feels comfortable and durable. The Chemex has a groove that runs along the best part of the pouring side of the carafe, providing excellent pouring control. Aesthetically, the pan looks great on the counter and is a great conversation piece too. It should be noted that switching to Chemex is not for everyone. Brewing coffee takes significantly longer than with a drip machine. However, your patients will be rewarded with the most delicious cup of coffee you've ever tasted. Boiling water can take 5-10 minutes, another 2-3 minutes. so that the water is heated to 200 degrees, the brewing time is 4-5 minutes. As you can see it usually takes me about 20 minutes. prepare coffee properly. Because of this, I still keep my old drip machine for faster brewing when I'm in a hurry. As for the results, they really speak for themselves when you drink your first Chemex Pour Cup. It's fair to say that if you are reading this review and considering buying Chemex, you are serious about your coffee. But I don't want to bother everyone with details about brewing methods, extraction times, grinding, etc. Because learning all that is one of the greatest joys in perfecting your perfect mug! This brewery is overpriced. A price tag over $60 is cool considering that a mistake at the sink or counter could cause your coffee maker to fail completely. It's good to know that if I take good care of my Chemex and handle it very carefully, it will probably last for years; However, accidents do happen, and if I accidentally break my Chemex, I can become mentally unstable due to lack of coffee combined with the shock of another Chemex sticker. I always preheat Chemex and a reusable metal filter before each brew. I always brew with exactly 200 degrees hot water. I measured the temperature of my coffee after pouring my first cup and it was around 165 degrees (very nice). Coming back to my second 16-ounce mug, the coffee is a little cooler, around 125 degrees (not bad if you drink it quickly). For this reason, I also use a good vacuum coffee pot when brewing over 32 ounces of coffee. I heat coffee directly in the Chemex on my gas stove; However, I would recommend a good carafe to reduce the risk of breaking the pot or burning the coffee. That's it, Chemex is a great coffee pot that brews an extremely good cup of joe. It's easy to clean, easy to use, and the pudding is proof of that. The disadvantages are high price, fragility and lack of comfort.
