Overall they're pretty decent, with a hollow plastic base and a plug to fill with water, sand or concrete if you want to add weight. They don't really need it indoors, but they may need it in windy conditions. The hooks are pretty tight to attach to the chain and being all blown plastic I'm a bit concerned about durability if you ever need to untie them. My biggest complaint is the chain length. It MIGHT be 40 inches, but that doesn't mean you can space your racks that far apart. You will do well to get three feet. It's not very helpful. They must be at least 6 feet long! Otherwise I would have given five stars. They're not that useful as they are.
