Review on Portable Battery-Operated Liquid Transfer Pump for Housewives | Bendable Suction Tube | Electric Fuel Siphon Pump for Efficient Transfers by John Clark

Works fast. - Tools and equipment

We have water from a well, which means that if we have a power outage, we not only have electricity but also water. So I bought this battery operated transfer pump to pump water from large containers (5 gallon jugs etc) to smaller containers. I was looking for a battery powered pump option because I need something when I don't have electricity. I needed something SIMPLE AND EASY to use; Easy enough for my KIDS. After seeing Revain and reading the reviews I decided to buy this one. I am HAPPY with this pump. It meets ALL of our water pumping needs during a power outage. BATTERY operated, EASY to use (push button for EASY on/off) and SIMPLE. It is also EASY to clean thanks to the detachable hose. I just run some soapy water through the pump, then plain water, disconnect the hose and let it all air dry. VOILA! Ready for the next time we need it. We don't have an aquarium but it would be SO handy when we had one a year ago. I hated sticking my hands in stinky water to clean it every month, but I did it because it was part of fishing. My kids keep asking for fish and I always say no. When I end up buying an aquarium, I want to buy another one of these pumps to clean and drain the aquarium. This pump meets our needs and is a valuable asset. We had an unexplained power outage just this morning (nice weather, no storm) and I was glad to have this pump on hand to save my back from pouring water from a 5 gallon pitcher with no cooling dispenser. It is very easy to put the pump in one water container and pump the water into another. The photo shows how much water was pumped into a 1 gallon jug by this pump from my water source. The pitcher is about 1/3 full in about 15-20 seconds. It's beautiful and FAST. The pump came with zero direction and I had a hard time connecting the tubing to the pump body until I realized I had to use a silicone ring and clamp. First put the silicone ring on the tube hole, loosen the screw clamp and put it on the silicone ring, put the pump tube with the silicone ring on the pump nose, tighten the clamp and no leaks! Don't over-tighten the clamp, but make sure it's tight enough. The pump comes with 2 D batteries and works really well with my rechargeable batteries which is a bonus. I would buy this pump again.
