This foldable iron is amazing. The fact that you can rotate the heating cylinder makes it more convenient to hold the tool while styling. There is a silver knob on the side that allows you to fold the barrel about 90 degrees and back to a horizontal position. There's no intermediate setting so you can't twist it to a specific angle if you want, but at 90 degrees it's already affecting my ability to curl certain sections of my hair. I tried to roll it horizontally but had a lot of fun using it folded. The instructions show that the temperature can reach 450, but it is not. Mine could only go to 430 which affected the desired results. Of course I was able to create beautiful curls, but due to the lack of 20 degree heat, my hair lost curls faster than if it were hotter. Heating up was quick, there is a 15 second countdown on the digital screen letting you know when it's done and also beeping when it reaches your desired temperature. It can be rolled up and installed within 10 seconds. I really enjoyed working with this iron and I love that I can hold the tip for more control without burning my fingers. You can also place it directly on a flat surface without touching the iron due to the raised tip, but I would still prefer this set to include a silicone heating pad in addition to the heat protection glove that comes with it. It was well packaged and ready to use. If you want beautiful beachy curls without straining your arms when styling, then this hairstyle is for you. But be prepared to prep your hair with a holding product (hairspray, mouse, etc.) as you will lose your curls within an hour, just like without a styling product. In my photos, I got these curls in 10 seconds for each strand of hair.
