One of the Mazda CX-5's very few downsides (okay, probably the only downside) is a very flimsy tailgate. There was nothing more than a night light which was almost useless when trying to charge/discharge things at night. After reading reviews and seeing complaints about the wrong size of this LED replacement bulb, I removed my stock headlight from the tailgate of my 2018 Mazda CX-5 and measured the bulb. It was exactly 31mm, the same size as a Phinlion LED replacement. Installation took about 10 minutes, most of the time was spent removing the bracket from the tailgate area (two screwdrivers, be careful and pry as instructed). The photos speak for themselves. Rear compartment shown with original lighting, then LED lighting. Very bright, no problems with the bulb.
