Review on ☕️ Lexington French Press Coffee Tea Maker - Insulated Stainless Steel, Double Wall Vacuum Sealed, 8 Cup Capacity - No Grounds Filtration by Tracey Gonzales

A little expensive, but insulating and made of stainless steel

This is a normal French Press. Saving Grace is isolating ability. This helps keep the coffee warm for much longer than my traditional glass press. The grip and top of the butt are made of black plastic, which unfortunately looks like cheap plastic. The stitching is visible on the plastic, giving it a cheap look. It's a shame because the stainless steel itself looks nice so it would be nice if they weren't chinese with plastic. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the insulated thermos helps keep coffee hot. Also, with this stainless steel, I don't have to worry about the glass cracking or breaking. The press section works the same as most other presses. There are no extra screen selectors, so keep that in mind if you ever need to replace them. There is a silicone ring that absorbs well as it slides over the carafe. This seal helps keep loose tea/coffee out of my drink. The lid has a bevel on the inside so it can be rotated for pouring. Twist the lid again (until the corner is visible) to close between cups. There's nothing to pinch on the lid, so I had to grab the edge to turn it. Overall it seems a bit pricey, but it's stainless steel and it insulates too. For that I give between 3 and 4 stars. Sometimes I wish I could give ½ stars but because I can't. Rounded up to 4 stars.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
