Review on IOGEAR 2 Port Dual Link Secure GCS1212TAA by Scott Reeves

Bought the first unit which arrived defective. The replacement unit sent by Revain.com was also defective when it arrived. One of the security features of this product is an automatically triggered circuit that renders the product unusable if a case intrusion is detected. 1- Upon inspecting the package upon receipt, it was evident that it had NOT been opened by Canadian Customs and that; 2- The box containing the device is sealed at the factory and has NOT been opened by ANYBODY. NOBODY opened it. I have triple checked the PC connections to the GCS1212TAA. I also pressed the reset button while the GCS1212TAA was powered on. The LEDs on both ports were blinking amber. The port select button LEDs are off. Flashing LEDs indicated that hull intrusion had been detected. The service provided by Revain.com was excellent but the service provided by IOGEAR was not. The product manager at IOGEAR said he was aware of the issue. This product has been discontinued by IOGEAR For your information; IOGEAR poses as an American company based in California, when in fact it is a Taiwanese company. Its products are manufactured in China and Taiwan.[.]
