Review on πŸ“Ί Roku Streambar Pro: 4K/HD/HDR Media Player with Cinematic Sound and Roku Voice Remote by Melissa Shoulders

Great integration whether you have a Roku TV or not

This is our third Stream panel (and first of the Pro variants); We use two other streambars in our BnB (one connects to a non-smart TV, the other connects to a cheap Walmart Roku TV). The Pro model we have is hooked up to a huge Samsung 7-series TV on the wall. In general, the impression is quite stellar. There's no better streaming device to rent when paired with a Locast - the guest mode is amazing (although we'd like to pre-populate some things like a pre-configured Locast to save time on maintenance). We have 100% sold Roku devices for rent. The Pro device performed well at home. We had audio sync issues on a previous (non-Roku) soundbar, which went away entirely when we upgraded to a Roku device - since the audio and video source were in the same device, the issues were resolved entirely. It works well with Samsung Smart TV and the sound quality is pretty stable. Maybe not something to blast the doors, but good enough for the casual viewer. We rarely need to use the TV remote and focus almost exclusively on the Roku remote. The only thing I'd really like to do is remove the Samsung source selection on power up, but that seems to be a limitation of Samsung, not Roku. But overall it's a solid purchase and we'll happily buy another one if we have to. The next step for us is to add a subwoofer to the pair (which seems very easy) for added impact. But honestly it's a big upgrade over the standard TV speakers and it works so well in terms of integration that it's a great first audio upgrade even for AV newbies. And for a non-smart TV, starting streaming is a breeze.
