I just got my new TSTAK cases (with release foam) and spent the evening fitting them to my own "tools". Although I work with wood and do everything with my own hands, I have not used them for any of my power tools. I am also interested in photography and actually bought these cases as a storage and transport system for my cameras and gear. Originally I wanted the Pelican 1510 (it's a rep in the photography world as far as I know) as a case to store and transport my cameras and accessories, as well as more organized storage around the home. But with foam, ONE box costs $151. And it was the lowest price I could find. After further research I came across this system from Dewalt. With 6 different cases to choose from and the option to purchase pre-formed foam for the interior, they made a world of difference to use with my gear. And they stack! Here are two suitcases I bought with most of my gear. I still have a lot to do and may need another case and at least one more set of foam. But here's what I liked. Each box costs between $14.99 and $29.99. And the foam trays are only $9.99 each. Much cheaper for me! The TWO suitcases I have here cost $55 instead of over $300 if I had bought the Pelican. I can afford to get a third box and more foam and STILL well under the price of a single Pelican box! Photo of opened and folded (and tied) boxes. My favorite is the long handle drawer which has another compartment for all my batteries and chargers. (So hopefully I can stop confusing them) I'll post an update later when I get a chance to actually use them.
