Review on 🐾 YUDODO Pet Sling Carrier: Lightweight and Breathable Travel Bag for Dogs and Cats by Dawn Valdez

After researching dozens of pet slings, we ordered this (Med) for our 17 year old Bengal cat as she can no longer enjoy walking on a leash. At 7# and 14.5″ back, he sits quite comfortably, albeit curled up, snug on my waist, and his head is tipped forward just above mid-waist. This centered, head-forward position reduces bounce and provides a smooth ride. for him; and with a comfortable, easy-to-use strap, its weight was distributed so well that there was no noticeable pressure on my shoulder or lower back. The materials used are durable and the design is well thought out for its simple purpose: short walks. But , I would not recommend this sling for pet's long-term walking for the following reasons: 1. The design does not allow the pet to put its head in the sling when it wants to hide from the sun/water or away from people . This is a sling, not a backpack. 2. The inner bottom doesn't provide enough support (again, it's a sling). May not be suitable for older, large and tall pets or those with joint pain. etc. Our cat is 17 years old and very long (14.5 inches on the back) but can still curl up comfortably in the medium. Can grow large so we can add a small pillow or very small baby blanket to add support.3. Although the sling has some mesh on the front, about 1/4 of the front and the rest of the bottom, back and sides of the sling are solid material. While this material is of good quality, appears to be easy to clean, looks good, and even helps provide some level of support, it's not very breathable. We live in Florida and even walking our pets early in the morning or late at night can be a problem. We'll probably attach a cooling towel to the bottom of the sling and shorten our walks to make sure our pet doesn't overheat. Maybe there will be more mesh on the sides in the next version. Note. Some manufacturers have taken this into account when developing slings and carrier bags for pets. Consider them if your pet doesn't like the heat. Overall, this sling is a very good product when used as intended. Good materials, easy to clean, easy to use, comfortable for both pet and owner. Be sure to measure and weigh your pet before ordering! Use the size chart provided. Not for big dogs and cats! This product offers a safe, easy, convenient and inexpensive way (similar to a sling and BabyBjorn) to take your small cat or small dog with you for outdoor adventures and fun together.
