Has potential. for gaming chairs

So first things first: This is the first "gaming chair" I've ever bought or assembled, so take it for what it's worth . Let's start with unpacking. The box itself was well sealed and bandaged and the box itself was strong enough that the contents were ok despite the hole in the side of the box and that's where the positive packaging ends. I have been with FedEx Express for almost 10 years, having worked in a variety of positions and angles and have a wealth of experience in this area. When the box was opened, the parts of the chair were not very well organized, and some packaging errors could easily lead to damage to the upholstery or other defects. It wasn't bad, it seemed like some effort had been made, and the thought was that the seat and backrest were separated by thin cardboard, and the armrests and other miscellaneous parts were wrapped in foam and tape, which protected the metal well. from scratches or stains, but the ends of the levers were completely removed from the packaging and lay on the back of the seat in such a way that it could have been damaged in transit had it been mishandled (fortunately there were no problems with delivery, and it arrived really early on!) The fit and finish of the chair was fine, apart from a quality control issue with the stitching of the chair back where the stitching was already undone before the box was opened. I'm seriously considering making a call about this because while it's a small issue right now, it's absolutely going to escalate into a bigger problem in the not too distant future. (It seemed obvious that this was not due to poor packaging and it was probably packaged with a defect already present). It should be noted that the brown color is not as visible as in the picture, it is definitely brown but so dark that it appears almost black. For me personally this isn't a big issue, but if you're not choosing by color, keep that in mind. Assembly was easy, very easy. Simple enough that even with clear and simple instructions I could probably finish the chair without too much trouble. I also think that the design is fine and should work well over time as long as the internals are free from defects. I strongly DO NOT recommend reclining fully in your chair. It WILL recline as it doesn't appear to have an adjustment stop which means you can theoretically sit on the back of a chair, perhaps a minor design flaw with an easy fix but I don't think that's a negative point because you're actually using it Definitely don't use this chair that way. Finally, to add to the full chair, the cushions are cheap but not terrible. The pillows are comfortable and seem to hold up over time without unscheduled sleep (again, not recommended). After about 5 minutes of sitting it seems comfortable with no obvious issues, but as it only takes 5 minutes I'll evaluate it more closely over the weekend and try to remember to come back to that point specifically. In summary I think the chair is currently good for the price and value for money but definitely had the potential for an easy 5 star minus a few problem areas that required sheer luck to avoid an immediate return. As an aside, and this is an important issue, the back of the manual had the usual marking and advertising that it was 5 stars and a small note asking them to contact them with any questions or concerns. Looks good, but here's the problem: the contact information was literally sealed with a strip of black duct tape of the same color, and it was clearly egregious. I have yet to try to get in touch but that's a red flag (and that's why I chose this one because it was shipped by Revain with their wonderful return policy. I've read enough of customer service issues on other chairs that this was important ) Part of my purchase decision.)
