Many base Toyota models have the ability to activate cruise control by adding a few switches and connectors.

This cruise control switch is no different than a Toyota OEM switch, save for the cost. I followed the installation instructions and added a cruise control feature to my 2007 Toyota Tacoma that was not installed when I bought it. OEM parts would have been $250, but with this switch, clutch switch and switch cover, I was able to get my pre-installed cruise control for $69. Many base Toyota models have the ability to activate cruise control by adding a few switches and connectors. Many YouTube videos explain how to add cruise control.
