These containers work well for us. I can see where some people can have a hard time opening them, but I think more people (myself included) will find the typical Rubbermaid seals even more difficult to deal with when trying to get a finger under the seal to get to pry it off. open (a process that can lead to tearing - the way these Biokips containers close means there is no stress on the lid). They seem to be very durable and after 5 rinses they don't look like they are suffering at all. The only thing that scares me is that the plastic in the hinges will break after prolonged use. They're probably deeper than needed for a typical sandwich, but the extra height comes in handy for packing lots of lettuce; I was actually surprised when I started filling one up as much as it could take. It helps (capacity wise) that the lid rests on the sides, unlike the Ziploc/Rubbermaid where the lid takes up the top of the inside of the container due to the way it seals (I hope that does Sense). Bought a second set.
