First of all there were scratches on the sticker which made me wonder if I received a used item (it said the condition was new). Either way, give it a try. Inserting the SD card was tough - it took me several tries and at different angles to insert the card, always worried that I might damage something (especially my card). It doesn't have that reassuring click like other devices when you insert an SD card. It is also not recognized by most of the mechanisms I use to read CF cards - CF card to USB adapter, CF card to USB IDE adapter and so on. The card is a high quality brand name that works everywhere by itself. This doesn't work via a CF adapter (but normal CF cards worked with the same setting). This is a good idea as SD cards can offer much better value for money, but they don't live up to their promises. Unless you have an app that's proven to work, stick with real CF cards.
