Pad size not as advertised

I really wanted to love this product because it seemed so good for the price. The main reason for the purchase was the mat, but it is 16x10 and not 18x12 as described. The rotary knife is of poor quality, very flimsy and when you apply pressure the blade moves making it very difficult to cut through fabric. The straight pins are even flimsy and bent when I tried to use them. I am extremely disappointed.
