I am a loyal customer. I struggled with PF in 2011-2012 and used an earlier version of the sock that didn't have velcro around the calf (at least I don't remember). My PF went away within a few days after wearing socks overnight. Once PF left, guess what I did. Yes, I threw away my socks like a mannequin. I just bought another one (I'll get another one later) because that annoying PF is back and has been bugging me for months. It took me a while to find the exact same socks (from the same company) I used in 2011-2012, but I found them and I'm hooked. I've been wearing it at night for two days and I'm already seeing a big difference - less pain in the morning, less pain in the afternoon. When you finally buy this sock (yes, 1 per pack), please follow a few simple steps to make your life easier (speaking from personal experience): 1. Yes, they are uncomfortable. But if you leave a little space (maybe about 1 inch) between the seam and the toes, it won't be that bad. If you wear it at night while sleeping, DO NOT fasten the calf strap tightly around your calf. Leave it loose so as not to stop blood circulation.3. Use these socks every day or night as long as you can tolerate it. I'm no medical professional but now I swear by these socks because they're the only thing that helped me. No physiotherapy, no creams, no braces. Those socks. I still wake up in the middle of the night to take them off because the ribbons get in the way of my sheets. Much luck!
