Came in a box with a sealed lid. The bag inside was half worn. Pulled out the engraver and it looked like it had been used as there were stains on the handle like someone was holding it. I tried to insert the tip and found that the screw was not in the slot to loosen and insert the tip. I had to take a pair of pliers and twist to see the screw. Once I did that I was able to insert the tip and it worked fine. When you buy something, you expect to get a tool that's ready to use, not ready to fix it. Looks like someone bought it, realized they couldn't screw the tip in, and sent it back. Looks like the company just sent it back to the next buyer. Not a good deal.
