I was dissatisfied with the product assortment offered by Allsense in my role as product manager. Their products gave off an impression of being disjointed and lacked a unified company identity. Their apparel, footwear, and jewelry collections lacked originality and fashion-forwardness, giving the impression that they were just another run-of-the-mill internet retailer. Even though their medical supplies and instruments were helpful, they appeared to be an afterthought and did not integrate well with the rest of the company's offerings. In addition, their customer service staff did not have an in-depth knowledge of the products that they offer, which could lead to incorrect recommendations and poor experiences for their customers. Last but not least, in comparison to those of other online merchants, their shipping and delivery times were significantly longer, which could result in lost opportunities and dissatisfied customers. Overall, I was not impressed by Allsense because the company does not have a distinct product strategy or personality. As a product manager, I would suggest that they concentrate on honing their offerings and developing a more consistent brand image in order to differentiate themselves from the competition in a congested market.
