Used on Baofeng BF-F9V2+ with BL-5L battery. Normally connected to the battery, no problems. There's no status indicator on it and there's no way of knowing if the radio is actually charging. The radio's battery status bar will increase as the battery charges, but since this takes some time, you won't know right away if it's charging. That's the whole reason for two stars. First, when plugged in, the radio emits a very high-pitched, shrill sound; Both with the radio on and off. Second, when the radio is on, there is quite a bit of hiss and hiss when receiving a transmission. I have tested the radio in the factory cradle and it does not exhibit this behavior. While it's possible that the problem is still with the radio (like not charging the battery that way), it's very annoying as I use the radio all day at work and like to keep it charged. simultaneously. I'm still glad I have it but will try another one in hopes of replacing this one.
