🔌 Xfox USB Smart Charger Cable: Convenient Vehicle Charging for Baofeng UV-5R Series (DC 5V Input) Review

It works great, allowing me to charge it with a 12V USB adapter or USB portable lithium battery. Can be carried in a backpack with USB lithium battery and can work for several days.

My item was damaged like many others. I found a solution. Take the needle and use it to bend the metal pins inward in the center hole. Don't go too far. This corrected the perfect operating condition.

Works well when connected to a car charger. Standard phone chargers (old) only generate 5.1 volts. The Baofeng radio battery is drawing just over 7 volts. Be careful what you connect it to.

Bought 2 of these, both work fine. Connects to the charging port of Baofeng 3800mAh battery. Lights up on the cable, green when connected, red when charging, green when the battery is fully charged.

The cable is not the best quality and doesn't appear to have a diode so it looks like current can flow in both directions. If you leave the device connected to the radio but not the USB port, does the LED stay on, indicating power is flowing back the other way, east, to the LED? 🤔

The picture shows the wireless charging element through the charging station. When used with an original charging station, the status LEDs on the base will not turn on in either the charging or charged status. The status LEDs flash red and green quickly. The charging station works well with the original wall charger, but not with this USB.

No quality control. The product arrived without working. I measured the initial output at 0.25V. Upon further investigation I found that the USB connector power leads were loosely soldered to the board. After re-soldering the USB connector on the board, the product outputs around 9V and appears to be working as expected. I don't need to fix a new product to make it work. Used on Baofeng BF-F9V2+ with BL-5L battery. Normally connected to the battery, no problems. There's no status indicator on it and there's no way of knowing if the radio is actually charging. The radio's battery status bar will increase as the battery charges, but since this takes some time, you won't know right away if it's charging. That's the whole reason for two stars.
