No quality control. The product arrived without working. I measured the initial output at 0.25V. Upon further investigation I found that the USB connector power leads were loosely soldered to the board. After re-soldering the USB connector on the board, the product outputs around 9V and appears to be working as expected. I don't need to fix a new product to make it work. If you get a good product, it's probably fine. I would suggest disassembling the case around the connector and inspecting the connections and components before plugging it into anything of value.
