This is my third monitor or LG TV. I like other brands too, but LG still offers good quality at a reasonable price. Others are good (Samsung, Dell, HP) but tend to be higher. And you can see where LG cuts a few corners to save money on price. Monitor stands are generally not the best, and their power cords are terrible (see below). But if you want a good panel, this one is fine. I've only had it a few days so can't comment on durability yet, but for the price it's a huge upgrade over my old 23" screen. I think in terms of image quality it might not be good enough for professional graphic artists. You have to stick to Apple monitors or other more expensive monitors with better color reproduction. I mainly needed the monitor to improve productivity while working from home, as well as for watching TV/movies and playing small games. This screen has excellent text quality. I really appreciate good writing, especially with my weak eyesight. They can also fit a lot more on the screen, allowing me to have the main app, browser, and TV streaming app open at the same time. If I have to work on a large spreadsheet, I can devote everything to the screen and see a lot more than the old FHD 1080 monitor showed. I think that's great for most people. Professional illustrators or graphic designers will probably turn their backs on it. Pros: - 4K with HDR for a good price - Great text display - Supports VESA mounting - Has 2 HDMI inputs and 1 DisplayPort input - HDMI cable included - Supports AMD FreeSync although I haven't used it yet - Plug and play with Windows 10. Nothing to install did not have to. Everything worked the first time. I had no problems with dead pixels out of the box. Relatively thin bezel Cons: Color reproduction is probably not good enough for professionals. Without HDR or any of the other advanced modes, the image will look washed out or washed out. There's a lot more color to HDR, but not being an expert I really can't say how it compares to other options. - Lack of extra features like USB hub support - Fairly basic stand (but if you're using VESA mounting it doesn't matter) - Power cord has a large plug. This is my second LG monitor to do this. Why, LG, why!? It takes up several places on an extension cord or outlet. Other: - This is a VA panel, not an IPS panel. This is one way to keep costs down. I haven't used IPS but I understand it offers better viewing angles. I don't care about that with this monitor, so that's a plus for me. Built-in speakers. I never give monitor speakers any pluses, but I never give them minuses either. I use various external speakers, but if you don't have a lot of desk space, this can come in handy.
