This air filter was purchased for a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator model number WRS588FIHZ. The correct air filter number is W10311524. These air filters are sized correctly for the filter frame, but the tabs on the sides do not protrude far enough to hook into the filter box frame. The filter installation instructions call for the filter to be "snapped" into the filter box frame. Instead of latching, the filter falls out without latching behind a vented filter compartment door. The protrusions on the sides of the filter frame are not adjustable to perform their function. I have relied on the Revain Choice designation as product certification that the replacement filter meets Whirlpool specifications. Unfortunately, this product will not work as it was not designed and manufactured properly.
