I didn't care about the smell so didn't leave it on long enough to see if it worked as advertised.
I gave this item to a friend who liked the smell more than I did. It's just a matter of personal preference, I like something fruity (like a tonic high in vitamin C) or fresh and green. I think the product was quite effective but I didn't use it long enough to notice a difference as I didn't care about the smell (a bit more medicinal or earthy than what I like).
