Review on Canson XL Series Mix Paper Pad - Heavyweight, Fine Texture, Wet or Dry Media, Side Wire Bound - 98 lb, 5.5 x 8.5 in, 60 Sheets by Lori Aguirre

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality paper, although not the best for wet media

Very strong thick paper. Smooth, with a slight tooth, it's erased well, the ink doesn't spread. I have not yet tested no bleeding with Micron markers, Copics or watercolors. Accidentally ordered four instead of one which bothered me until I saw the quality of the paper, now I'm glad I have so many in the house. I definitely recommend it. EDIT: Paper definitely bleeds with Copic markers, but as long as you don't let them saturate the paper too much it won't spoil the next page. If you're looking for something that doesn't bleed and can feature a design on both sides of each leaf, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. The paper also warps and warps a bit if it gets too wet, so I'll be careful. In any case, I'll still say that these sketchbooks are worth the price and as long as they meet your needs well enough, you should consider them. If you prefer humid environments, you can skip this option.

Pros
  • Ideal for pencils, crayons, pastels and markers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
