They are waterproof and very well made. Constructed from high quality nylon/plastic that will stand up to the elements, even underground. These wire connectors are very high quality and designed for industrial and commercial use and are very suitable for residential applications. I especially like them because this is a one-time connection. Once you've completed your project, there's a very small chance you'll have to redo it, deal with water ingress, or worry about wiring connections. While the price may seem high at $16, it's only $3 each - compare that to the cost of an electrician or digging up garden beds to find and replace a faulty wire connection. Also, they are very easy to use. We particularly recommend these waterproof connectors for outdoor low voltage work.
