Review on ๐Ÿฅ˜ Oster Roaster Oven 22 Qt Stainless Steel with Self-Basting Lid: The Ultimate Cooking Companion! by Rudy Allen

Performance above expectations!

I bought this on a whim because as soon as I brought my chosen turkey home for Thanksgiving, I realized the 25 pound monster wouldn't fit in my old electric fryer - and that was it too big roaster (at least I thought so). This 22 liter Easter roaster far exceeded my expectations and I can't stop admiring it. After washing the brazier, I let it dry a few days before Thanksgiving to get rid of the industrial smell. It only lasted about 5 minutes and wasn't that bad so I was glad about it. 3 days before that day I started marinating the turkey in a roaster (unpowered) and adding ice every 12 hours. It could keep the brine temperature at or below 40 degrees even if it's only 5 feet from my roaring wood stove; The thermal insulation on this thing is impressive. The first day we washed the roaster, then put the turkey on the grill with some water, onions, apples and celery and set the temperature to 350ยฐC. Standard roast turkey - 20C. Minutes per pound of poultry, which should have given us about 5 hours of cook time. The roaster did the job, including the CRISPY Brown Skin, in 3.5 hours. It heated the bird evenly, leaving all the skin nice and flavorful and the meat moist and flavorful. Foil isn't necessary to keep the breast from drying out, although I crumpled up a few balls of foil to keep the wings from touching the sides of the pan. After we ate, I left the carcass in the brazier, filled it with 15 liters of water and left it for 24 hours. I then used this broth to make 20 liters of incredible turkey soup. it's all in the brazier. With such a long period of constant use (nearly 48 hours) I was expecting this thing to break or struggle, but it absolutely doesn't. It runs smoothly, heats evenly and maintains a constant temperature (according to my food thermometer). I wasn't a big fan of Oster products due to their low quality and tendency to break under pressure, but I'm very happy with this product. It was a great first flight for my new roster and exceeded my expectations.
